Dengue is a viral disease transmitted by the Aedes mosquito. Aedes mosquito is responsible for spreading this disease. This disease is more common in tropical countries like ours. Aedes mosquitoes breed in stagnant freshwater and rainwater.
Water accumulates in flower pots, waste tires, drains, waste plastic bags and bottles around our homes. Many times I see water accumulated on the roof of the building. Dengue causes chronic high-grade fever, red rash all over the body, severe pain around, inside or behind the eyes, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and muscle pain.

ডেঙ্গু একটি ভাইরাসজনিত রোগ যা এডিস মশা দ্বারা ছড়ায়। এডিস মশা এই রোগ ছড়ানোর জন্য দায়ী। আমাদের মতো গ্রীষ্মমন্ডলীয় দেশে এই রোগ বেশি দেখা যায়। এডিস মশা স্থির মিঠা পানি এবং বৃষ্টির পানিতে বংশবৃদ্ধি করে।
আমাদের বাড়ির চারপাশে ফুলের পাত্র, বর্জ্য টায়ার, ড্রেন, বর্জ্য প্লাস্টিকের ব্যাগ এবং বোতলগুলিতে জল জমা হয়। অনেক সময় দেখি ভবনের ছাদে পানি জমে আছে। ডেঙ্গু দীর্ঘস্থায়ী উচ্চ-গ্রেডের জ্বর, সারা শরীরে লাল ফুসকুড়ি, চোখের চারপাশে, ভিতরে বা পিছনে তীব্র ব্যথা, বমি বমি ভাব এবং বমি, পেটে ব্যথা, ডায়রিয়া এবং পেশী ব্যথার কারণ হয়।
